River Anchorage - a cosy and affordable 3 bedroom beach house, few minutes walk to river, Ocean Grove Golf Club, river walks, The Groove Café, 10-15 minute walk to surf beach, and Ocean Grove Main Street Shops. It's a short drive to the historic town of Queenscliff, Pt. Lonsdale, Geelong, Torquay, Portarlington olive groves and wineries, St. Leonards, the Bellarine coastal drive, Ocean Grove Pool complex and the marvellous Geelong Adventure Park - great for the kids and loads of fun. Just a one hour drive to Lorne via the Great Ocean Road. A great location to enjoy exploring the Bellarine Peninsula and all its treasures, or just staying put in River Anchorage and enjoying your idealic holiday location.
River Anchorage has 3 good sized bedrooms, main with queen bed, 2nd with bunk bed and single bed, and 3rd with a double bed, sleeping a total of 7. There is one bathroom with shower, bath, and one toilet. The kitchen, dining, living area is open plan and includes gas heating and cosy open fire place, there are fans to cater for warmer days. The living area includes TV, DVD, stereo. Kitchen is well equipped including microwave, and electric upright oven and hotplates, refrigerator, and good supply of appliances. There is a breakfast bar which seats 4 and a kitchen and dining table. The laundry includes washing machine. Outdoors there is front and back fenced yard with BBQ and outdoor setting. The house has dual driveway access (back entry to Whitton Street and Barwon River - 200m walk to river, 900m to surf beach and 700m to shops a fantastic location for family holiday or week-end stay. River Walk Beach House is clean, neat and well furnished and fitted out to cater for all holiday needs.

Unresolved smell in master bedroom
Putrid smell in master bedroom persists, since exiting the property we have identified that previous reviews indicate that this has been a problem since 2020. Our group decided to book alternative accommodation after the first night as the smell in the master bedroom was overwhelming. We did attempt to air out the master bedroom using a pedestal fan, however the problem persisted. Attempts to negotiate an appropriate rental return with Regional Escapes have to date been unsuccessful. This property should be avoided until such time as the smell in the master bedroom has been addressed. Very disappointed. Nice 2 night stay.

Located in a perfect part of ocean grove, the house provided an amazing long term stay. Debbie was super kind and caring in making sure that our stay was a special one. We will definitely be utilising Debbie again in the near future!
