Description
Built in 1929 as the “quintessential corner store” then later becoming a handbag shop and thriving photography studio, Studio One has now been creatively transformed into a unique luxury living experience. Ideally located a short walk to Pakington St with its fabulous strip of café’s, boutiques, restaurants & grocery stores. Only a 5-minute drive to the Geelong Waterfront and CBD. Fitted out with high-quality amenities this Studio has all you need for a quick holiday or business trip to Geelong.
The space
Stepping through the shopfront door you walk into the open living and dining area, which is showered in filtered in soft light from the laminated front windows. You will be transported into a gorgeous, specialised open-plan living space with old-world original touches and all the modern comforts & conveniences you need.
Sink into the beautiful couch & position the many cushions to your liking. In front of you is a large 65” Smart TV ready for your entertainment with Free WiFi available. The entire wall in front of you is the original shop-fit slat wall, where they used to hang their handbags and now you may hang your own bags, coats and hats.
Continuing through the open space, the modern kitchen is fully equipped to whip up a tasty meal with an induction cooktop, full oven, microwave, cookware, utensils, crockery, cutlery & glassware. And of course, a dishwasher for the clean up! If you don’t feel like cooking you can always wander across the road to the local favourite: The Yardz Hotel with many delicious meals on offer!
In the evening, enjoy the gorgeous central Old World pendant light as it sends a beautiful cascading pattern across the ceiling & walls, creating a gentle, soothing atmosphere.
After a big day of work or exploring what the region has to offer, a spacious King suite awaits you when you’re ready to unwind. Luxuriate in the plush King Bed with crisp white sheets & many comfy pillows. The suite also offers a workstation which can also be used as a makeup station with the portable make-up mirror provided. The house is split level with two steps to gain entry into the suite.
Adjoining the King Suite is a gorgeous Bathroom/walk-in robe/Euro Laundry with washer, dryer & iron. The bathroom evokes luxury, dressed in floor-to-ceiling marbled tiles comprising of a sumptuous rain shower, vanity with light-up mirror, and toilet.
Studio One is heated and cooled by a powerful split system and the King Bed suite has a ceiling fan as well.
Things to Note:
There is no courtyard to the property; however, you can pop across the road to enjoy the beer garden at the Yards Hotel. Or across the main road to get some exercise in the sun at Geelong West sporting complex: oval, netball courts & cycling track.
Also nearby, take a short walk to Pakington Streets cafes, restaurants & shops. And if you walk straight down Church St (around 15 mins) you’ll arrive at Geelong’s beautiful Bay (5 min by car).
There is no parking on the property. Free Street parking is available.
As our Guest in Studio 1, you will be staying in a creatively & beautifully designed, very comfortable townhouse. Please note that we are a part of a larger block of two more living spaces, we kindly ask that you respect others by avoiding loud noise such as loud music and loud TV. And of course we do have a “no party” condition.
Traffic Noise: Studio 2 was originally a shop front Corner Store. Built on a main road (Church St) for maximum exposure. While the new commercial windows and doors at the front do a great job of filtering out the noise, you will get some reduced traffic noise, especially during the day. At night time in the bedroom (window closed) the sound should be greatly reduced for a peaceful sleep.
Upstairs Noise:
The Studio is part of a two story 1920's home being renovated into three seperate living spaces, with bedrooms above the units, the noise of foot steps can be heard from time to time.
Guest Access
The property is fit with a digital lock so you can head straight there after check in time. No need to meet someone or visit an office. You will receive the check in details 48 hours prior to arrival. There is no off street parking, street parking is free on Church St and Raven St.
The Neighbourhood
The property is located on Church St in the suburb of Geelong West, close to Pakington St where there are many boutiques, restaurants & vintage shops to enjoy, along with necessities at Woolworths. Just a 5-minute drive or 15-minute walk, enjoy the views at Geelong Bay and shopping or work opportunities in Geelong CBD.
Getting Around
If you’re not bringing your own vehicle there is public transport via the local bus network accessible right across the road. Ubers are also readily available in this area.View More

A lovely place to stay for a weekend! Excellent communication, very helpful host, everything you need in a spotless, comfortable place. Felt relaxed as soon as I was inside. Very little noise from the hotel across the room, and the traffic noise was surprisingly not intrusive. Highly recommend! Alison

This accomodation was amazing. Please be aware though that you are located right near the traffic so this is perfect if you are getting up early. Everything within the accomodation was spot on and luxurious, just had to mention. Nathan

Very clean and host was communicative. Only issue I had was the sound proofing was not as good, we could hear the main road quite clearly (understand not much can be done though) Apart from that great location. Monique
