PROPERTY
The property couldn’t be more central to Geelong’s CBD, located at the corner of Malop St and Moorabool St. This early 20th-century building features Greek Revival details, from ceiling medallions and intricate cornices to columns and the bold rounded corner on the façade, which is typical of 19th-century Renaissance Revival architecture.
With one free car park included, you can park next door and enter through the secure double doors of the apartment building. You can choose to get your steps in via the stairs or take the vintage yet well-maintained lift to your floor, where you’ll enter your apartment door fitted with a digital lock for a smooth self-check-in process.
Apartment Two comprises two queen bedrooms, a master bathroom, laundry, and a spacious open living, dining, and kitchen area. The kitchen is tucked into the rounded corner of the building, overlooking the Malop St and Moorabool St crossing, making dishwashing a lot more entertaining as you enjoy people-watching, decorative crossing lights, and heritage clock towers. The kitchen is well-equipped with crockery, cutlery, and appliances, including a dishwasher, fridge, electric stove top, oven, microwave, kettle and coffee machine. The coffee maker is a Aldi Pod Machine which is compatible with only Aldi Pods. Please Note: Pods are not provided, you will need to bring your own.
Stepping into the beautifully spacious dining and living area, you’ll find a round four-seater dining table accompanied by cushioned wicker lounge chairs. An incredibly comfortable four-seater brown leather couch with an ottoman sits in front of the large smart TV, decorated with a playful nod to Grecian architecture evident in the support beams and columns.
Located towards the front of the apartment are the wet areas, starting with the laundry featuring a trough, front loader washing machine, and clothes horse. You then step into the main bathroom, which includes a spa bath, separate shower, toilet, and vanity made of speckled stone.
As you enter the rear hallway of the apartment, Bedroom Two awaits, complete with a built-in robe, queen bed, bedside tables with lamps, and curtains to block the view of the palm trees when desired. The main bedroom at the very rear offers ample space, featuring a walk-in robe, office desk and chair, queen bed, and bedside tables with lamps.
With an incredibly spacious layout, comfortable furnishings, and quality appliances, this two-bedroom apartment has everything you need and more, right in the heart of Geelong! It’s perfect for anyone visiting for a quick weekend getaway, visiting family, or enjoying an extended holiday of relaxation and fun. It’s also ideal for corporate travel, whether attending a conference or working in the area for a month or longer.

Amenities
Our stay at regional escapes was exceptional. The stay was incredibly affordable amongst other points to note;
- clean, well kept space
- space inside was large, good room for 3/4 people
- heater was very effective for cold weather
- kitchen well stocked with many utensils
- convenient location to many eateries, waterfront and deakin campus (within walking distance)
- elevator was not as dodgy as we expected from other reviews, its just got an outdated look but provided incredibly smooth rides up and down, no issues there
- only down point was slow internet so be prepared to use mobile data for streaming services and general browsing
Thank you for our stay! Should we find ourselves back in Geelong we would consider staying again! ☺️ Had a wonderful stay. The apartment was conveniently located and lots within walking distance. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and felt at home for the week. The hosts were very responsive and had a really extensive guide.
If you are a light sleeper I would suggest an eye mask, the bedrooms have curtains but lights on the toilet block below still throw quite a bit of light into the bedrooms which can be distracting.
