Step up onto the spacious deck and into the bus's first level, where the original seat and steering controls are still in place, along with fun details like stop buttons, ticket slots and a stamp press, which the kiddos are welcome to play with. The first level features a dining and kitchenette area, with the main bedroom at the rear of the bus that has a king-sized bed. The kitchenette includes a vintage-style radio, a kitchen sink, cutlery, dishes, and quality appliances such as a fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave. To prepare a more substantial meal, feel free to use the BBQ out on the deck and enjoy it on the six-seater outdoor dining table. Off the deck, you will also find the lockable bathroom pod, which consists of a toilet, shower and vanity. Making your way up the stairs at the front of the bus and onto the upper floor, you will find the kids' bedroom. This level is a bit lower, so tall adults cannot fully stand up. The play area features a driving station at the front of the bus overlooking the rural land. A Movie area with beanbags, a TV and a DVD player with plenty of family-friendly movies supplied (Please note there is no antenna or WiFi supplied). At the rear of the bus, there are two single bunk beds, which are suitable for four children. Please note that, as it was once a functional bus, there are many windows surrounding it, and only the windows around the beds have curtains, so the light does not get entirely blocked out. Guest Access It is a self-check-in via key safe, so you can head straight to the property at the time of check-in. Your area includes the Bus, large deck and driveway, all fenced off from the surrounding rural property, which features gum trees, roaming chickens and sheep in the rear paddock. You are not to access past the fenced area unless you catch the owner for a chat and get to visit the sheep. NOT PET FRIENDLY DUE TO OTHER ANIMALS AT THE PROPERTY. The Neighbourhood The rural property is located within the township of Fyansford, which borders Geelong. The Bus is nestled into a small strip of smallholdings surrounded by trees, fields and country homes. Within a 2-5 minute drive of the property, you will find the Fyansford Hotel for a hearty pub meal, Provenance Wines for fine dining and Queens Park where you can walk, play and grab a bite at the café. Geelong CBD is within a 10-minute drive of the property, which hosts ample entertainment options such as Village Cinemas, Laserquest, and MoPA: Museum of Play and Art. As well as delicious restaurants, whether it be a moody date spot along Little Malop St or a family-friendly feed, like a familiar pub meal or a fun, scrumptious cuisine like Mexican, Korean or Greek. Getting Around We would recommend bringing a vehicle to travel around Geelong and the surrounding suburbs. As the suburb is Geelong adjacent, there are Ubers and Taxis readily available in the area. We stayed in the bus Airbnb for one night and really enjoyed the location. It was quiet, peaceful, and conveniently close to the city, which made it very easy to get around. The bus itself was clean and had a lovely, unique setup.
During our stay, we did notice quite a few insects inside the bus, including ants, mosquitoes, and moths, particularly around the bed area. Unfortunately, the mosquitoes made it a bit difficult for us to sleep comfortably, and we ended up with several mosquito bites.
But, overall, it’s a creative and charming place to stay:))

Unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations. While check-in was smooth, the initial impression was disappointing for value of money. The bus exterior was dusty with visible spider webs, the toilet had a strong unpleasant odor, and the interior was unbearably hot on a 38-degree day. The air conditioning on both levels was ineffective and did not provide any relief from the heat. No windows fitted with fly screens for safe cross-ventilation.
The children were initially very excited, however this quickly changed when they noticed numerous dead flies and spider inside. At night small flies heavily attracted to the exterior lights and many entered the bus. This caused significant distress to the children, and as a result, we left the bus and did not stay overnight.
Given the extent of the fly issue, fly screens at the doors or around the bus out door sitting would be essential.

Great fun for the kids staying in a converted bus. The conversion really is beautifully done.
Wouldn’t recommend for a long stay if you are very tall!
Had everything we needed. Beds very comfy.
Bathroom had a strong septic smell - not precious so didn’t really worry us!
All in all a lovely one night stay!

Charming, unique stay for the kids! Kids adored the bus, and there was plenty to do inside the bus and out! Beds were all comfy, appreciated heating and cooling on both levels - tv and dvd player was a fun surprise on upper level. Overall a great stay, with a friendly host.
Only feedback would be for the pricepoint - i would expect a few more basic ammenities - a coffee option ( only teabags were provided ) a UHT milk would also be nice. As there is only tank water available ( this was communicated clearly ) we came prepared with water but I feel boxed drinking water should be provided at a minimum.
Would have loved some higher quality pillows also.
These are minor things, but really make a guest feel welcome.
Overall a positive experience and will recommend. Thank you! :)
